Allow me to waste your time....

You will never ask me what I'm thinking again.

The one that didn't get away

Dan and I went fishing the other day. Didn't catch too much. A couple of nibbles. At least the weather was good. We drank beer. The boat was nice, and really for the price, we couldn't complain. After 4 hours, we were on our way back and that was how the storey was going to end.

that's when it happened. All hell broke loose. We spent the next hour fighting some big fish. The end result:

Black Marlin. Big, heavy, and enough meat to feed a lot of people. All that before noon. What a day. The crowds of people around the dock to see the fish, and to hopefully get a bit of the meat were exciting. It really created a fuss. I will never know how many people got the meat, but we were assured that not a scrap would go to waste. We had some at the hotel that night, and wow. I've never gone back for seconds on fish, but I did this time. It was almost like a very well prepared pork chop. Yummy.

I also have some other news. The last few weeks have been somewhat crazy, and I have reason to believe that it isn't going to get any better any time soon. I have accepted an instructing position at SAIT in the Aircraft Maintenance Program. I'll be teaching helicopters and regulations, and what ever else they send my way. So now that Rose is all settled in her job in Whitecourt, and we are all moved in, I'm pulling up tent pegs, and moving back to Calgary. Funny eh? The jury is still out on that. Rose will be staying in Whitecourt for another 6 months or so, making it life as normal for us. We've been living together for 6 months already, and things have been going great, so why not shake it up a little.

I'm not sure how I feel about living in the city again. It will be nice to be able to see everybody again, but life in a small town isn't a bad thing.

Look out kids, we're comming back!
